To get started, form the wire coat hangers into a “J” and “Y” shape. Next, wrap the hangers with the red tinsel, and secure with hot glue.
Start at the top of the door and secure with painter’s tape. You will need to cut around the door knob and hardware with scissors. As you wrap your door, secure as necessary with painter’s tape.
The wreath will serve as the “O”. Feel free to decorate the wreath if you choose. I took a plain greenery wreath and wrapped it with some more red tinsel.
Next, tie each letter together with fishing line. Make sure they are equally spaced.
Now, hang “JOY” on the door over the wrapping paper to greet your guests!
